My daughter Liliana was due on Valentine's Day 2 years ago. And my husband proposed to me on Valentine's day 5 years ago. So needless to say, the holiday will always be one of my favorites :)
I wasn't going to do Valentine's minis this year - being 8 months pregnant and just having recovered from a super busy holiday season, I wasn't sure it was a good idea. But of course, as soon as I got back from Christmas vacation, I bought some props, pulled out last year's, and designed a set to photograph my daughter on (because I'll ALWAYS do Valentine's photos of her - as long as she lets me at least!). And of course, once I had said pictures edited, I thought "why not!".
Knowing Valentine's minis are not generally the most popular (being right after the expensive holiday season, and right in the middle of sick season!), I decided to offer sessions on 2 days only, and thankfully, only booked a few (since both my daughter and I got sick and I had to cancel the 1st day).
It was so much fun photographing some old faces (that have changed SO much in the few months since I've photographed them last) and new ones. I had littles as young as 2 months and as old as 4 years - and by the end of the day, I was exhausted!! I'm happy I decided to do Valentine's minis, and while I think I'll probably always offer them, I'm glad I only shot a few of them this year ;)
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!
