15 months isn't the easiest age to photograph, but when I met adorable baby Abby and her parents, I knew we were going to have a fun time photographing her. Having 3 of my own that I've photographed through all of their different stages, and having seeing dozens of babies throughout their toddler years, I'm no longer fearful of this age group. All it takes is patience (this is their show, and they know it!), flexibility (I know I'll be getting up and down and up and down keeping that little one on set!), and a little know-how (favorite snacks, props that entertain but also photograph well and don't take away from the picture, not caring how crazy I look trying to get baby's attention....).
For this photo session, we started with some family photos - mom, dad and baby, and a special 3 generation photo (grandma, mom and baby), then moved on to get some sweet photos of baby Abby. We moved quickly, knowing our time was limited, changing outfits, props and backgrounds often to keep her attention and give us a good variety. It was a whirlwind session and we got a TON of amazing images of this little cutie for mom and grandma to choose from.
They ended up with a gorgeous album of Abby's photos, spiral booklets for the grandparents, and a wood print of their favorite image of their little beauty. I know these images will bring back so many wonderful memories, and that Abby will LOVE looking at pictures of her baby self when she's older (looking through their baby albums is seriously one of my girls' absolute favorite activities).
Thanks for being such an adorable little model Abby, I hope to see you again soon (maybe with little brother next time...;) ). <3 <3 <3
